Here is a You Tube video showing a test of a Tomar semaphore on my layout. The semaphore is animated by a hobby servo connected to a DCC accessory decoder based on an Arduino Pro Mini board. JMRI is used to control the signal based on block occupancy. I’m utilizing RR-CirKits for block detection.
All in all I am happy with the results of this test. It is a final piece of the electronics puzzle that I’ve been working on for quite a while. I am now in a position to resume building the rest of the layout. I have a few minor changes to make to my existing work based on the experience I’ve gained, but I am ready to move forward.
