I was able to get some work done on the WVR this week. I put up Masonite backdrop and worked on benchwork. I used 1/8 inch Masonite hardboard for the backdrop.

I had to take some time out of my schedule today to give my able assistant a bath and a trim. I think it wore him out…

After that, I was able to get a section of the center peninsula done. I need to pick up some more lumber to finish it. The L girder benchwork is proving to be quite stable with a bit of bracing.

The dropped upper benchwork at the end of the room is for a river scene with a trestle. below it is a hidden section of track which will allow for continuous running.
It should not be long before I’ll have the benchwork completed and can once again start laying track. I wanted to get all the backdrop in and painted before installing sub-roadbed and track, as well.
